Tip 1: Go for a walk in Arboretum Heempark
Green is the color of peace and health. How wonderful it is when you can combine green with more exercise. A wooded environment is green and provides plenty of oxygen. Every village and city has a park or forest in the immediate vicinity. If you live in Delft or the surrounding area, that is ideal. Heempark Arboretum in Delft. This park is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Local nature and environmental associations, together with volunteers, have ensured a beautiful park flora. Tip 2: Visit the petting zoo
It is widely known that people who have a pet are happier. Animals therefore give people a boost in their sense of happiness. Seeking out animals is a tip for feeling better about yourself. How about a petting zoo? Here you will find piglets, rabbits, goats, chickens, foals, and more. At the petting zoo, you can stroll peacefully among the animals, which is a wonderful experience for children as well as their parents and grandparents. Tip 3: Take the bike out of the shed and explore the surroundings
There are very few Dutch people who do not own a bicycle. Taking the bike for groceries, visits, or commuting is already a matter of course for many. If you do not do this yet, try to schedule it as much as possible. The Netherlands also has a great many beautiful cycle paths. These often run around municipalities in nature reserves, but also through cities and villages. This way you see a lot, enjoy the surroundings and the greenery, and get some exercise too. Tip 4: View Delft through the eyes of a tourist
Are you someone who travels the world on vacation but hasn't seen the many beautiful cities of the Netherlands in a long time? It is not for nothing that so many tourists come to Delft; we have one of the most beautiful cities in the Netherlands. On the website there is a nice route which you can walk. The city walk is approximately 7 km long and takes you past most of the tourist spots.
It is educational and enjoyable, as you will naturally pass by nice places to stop for a drink. Coffee, tea, or water is the best tip for keeping an eye on your energy levels. Take a sandwich and some fruit with you for the road.
Tip 5: Go out on the water and rent a boat at Knus
