Are you someone like that, or do you know someone who thinks you deserve to eat and drink well on vacation? Simply because it's vacation and because you deserve it! There are other ways to reward yourself with plenty of good food, too.

What is your reason?

After months of hard work, it is finally vacation time. Time to really go wild when it comes to lots of good food and drink. Ice cream, hamburgers, pizzas, but especially plenty of soft drinks and alcohol all day long. After all, you’ve earned it.

We often hear that customers handle their sense of reward this way during their vacation. Eating and drinking a lot is part of it. Just not paying attention for a while. We'll just deal with the scales tipping all the way again later...

All-inclusive and BBQ

Trips are often offered with the 'all-inclusive' concept. Buffets are packed with delicious food. You can eat as often and as much as you want. You paid for it, it's there, and... you've earned it. Barbecuing every day when the weather is nice also results in an excess of food. It is a major pitfall that is completely unnecessary. We have tips on how to handle this differently. How nice is it to still be able to enjoy everything on offer without having gained weight after your vacation?.

From filling to feeding

We eat to nourish our bodies. However, there are more reasons why we eat. Consider hunger, cravings, boredom, comfort, socializing, and reward. The latter two occur particularly frequently on vacation. It is possible to reverse this habit from filling to nourishing. So, instead of eating mindlessly based on a feeling, eat because it is important to nourish your body. After all, we need fuel, building blocks, fats, vitamins, and minerals to maintain our bodies.

Get started

  • Invest in memories as a reward
  • Find a distraction, go explore the surroundings, and book excursions.
  • Meet new people and socialize more
  • Name what you see, smell, and taste while eating.
  • Serve smaller portions and eat plenty of vegetables.
  • Choose water ice instead of ice cream.
  • Postpone drinking alcoholic beverages for as long as possible
  • Keep a diary and write down the beautiful moments.
  • Move as much as possible by going for walks and bike rides
